Project Pothikrit (Pathfinder) Health Dialogue

• The Challenge: In many rural communities, health misinformation and a historical lack of trust in formal healthcare services create significant barriers to care, leading to poor health outcomes even when services are available.

• Our Approach: Instead of a traditional awareness campaign, we are developing a new "Health Dialogue" toolkit. This involves training local community leaders to facilitate structured, respectful conversations that address specific local concerns and build trust from the ground up.

• Key Outcomes:

  • Successfully piloted the dialogue toolkit in three rural communities.

  • Our initial data shows a 15% increase in the uptake of primary care services in the pilot areas.
